Key Responsibilities

  • Have experience with big volume flow lines and stock management of these lines.  
  • Have an analytical and logical mindset to arrange clear plans/reports. 
  • Prioritise various projects with attention to detail. 
  • Prepare & present sales reports for weekly Product Trading meetings. Suggest actions, highlight risks and opportunities to meet future business needs. Re forecasting if necessary. 
  • Investigate size ratios of product bought vs. product sold to improve the efficiency of future orders.  
  • Manage the growth of Assistant Merchandiser and Merchandising Assistant. 
  • Identify re-buys of best-selling styles balanced with suggesting sales promotions on any overstocked or slow selling product. Prepare P.O’s for re-buys. Suggest styles that should be part of a “NOOS” (never out of stock programme)  
  • New launches/promotions. Supporting the business to meet planned launch dates and advising on control and movement of stock. 
  • Monitor sales by region both internationally and within UK.   
  • Keep Line Details for all seasons up to date with any changes.  
  • Work with Production Team and Senior Merchandiser on target margins for both retail and wholesale. Contribute to any future budget discussions. 
  • Help personalise “Rebound” returns reports to maximum effect for Represent. Help re monitoring returns.   
  • Review any mark downs or sales promotions (such as vault sales). 
  • Independently plan and organiseallocatedworkload.  
  • Assist Production Team, when required.  
  • Awareness of all factory shipment dates.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

  • Extremely strong Excel skills.  
  • Perfectionist when it comes to accuracy. 
  • Experience in WSSI management. 
  • Experience on managing big £ departments, with flow lines. 
  • Ability to manage up and down. 
  • Experience working with ecommerce/ retail or apparel brands in a similar merchandising role. 
  • Demonstrate a pro-active approach to problem solving. 
  • Flexible and open to evolving business needs and priorities. 
  • Hands on approach.  
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment 
  • Has the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. 
  • High attention to detail
